Britain’s economic recovery is being put at risk by underinvestment according to the Finance and Leasing Association (a trade body with, it has to be admitted, a vested interest). The FLA has commissioned two new research papers by Oxford Economics and the Open University Business School to assess whether Britain’s small businesses are equipped to meet demand when the economy recovers. These, it says, show that business investment is lower than in the two previous recessions.
