Cable & Wireless is to axe hundreds of jobs after buying rival Thus for £329million.

Most of the jobs will go in Glasgow.

The new owner looks set to axe more than half of the 600 jobs at the Charing Cross HQ of Thus as part of plans for annual savings of £70million.
