GlaxoSmithKline has signed a five year partnership with Formula 1 team McLaren to build a £20m research centre at McLaren's Woking headquarters.

GlaxoSmithKline has confirmed 330 jobs will be cut at its Cumbria factory.

The firm employs 537 at its Ulverston site.

GSK said the job cuts would be made over the next two years. It blamed increased competition and the loss of patents on some of its products.
