Blue Rainbow Aparthotels bags green award

Blue Rainbow Aparthotels, a collection of four and five star boutique serviced apartments in Manchester and Edinburgh, has bagged a Green Tourism award.

The company picked up a bronze award from the Green Tourism Business scheme for its use of energy efficiency measures in its aparthotel, Blue Rainbow High Street, which is based in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre.

Its Blue Rainbow High Street base was praised for its energy and water efficiency, in particular the aparthotel’s modern and eco-friendly equipment including its use of hot water tanks, low energy lighting and dual flush toilets.

Will Hannah, managing director at Blue Rainbow Aparthotels, said, “We’re delighted to be recognised as one of the few aparthotels in the UK to be officially accredited for our green efforts, under the Green Tourism Business scheme.

“We’re extremely passionate about supporting green issues within hospitality industry. We also understand that it’s an increasingly important consideration for our guests too.”
